Aikie & Kayleen | Intimate Backyard Wedding

I’ve known Kayleen (Kiki to most) since high school- we met playing volleyball and have been friends ever since. She’s tiny (about 5 ft tall) but I remember her being so strong and having an insane vertical ;)

She and Aikie have been together since 2012 and now have a beautiful daughter named Kaiana who was the most precious flower girl. They were initially set to get married in the summer, but like many others, the COVID-19 pandemic put a huge damper in their plans. Fast forward to August 23, 2020- they decided to just do it. At home, with their closest family and friends. Their day so greatly reflected who they are as a couple. Joyful and playful! Peep the wedding “cake” and the topper! They love to fish and be near the ocean, and they even have their own little handshake they do- can you tell what it is? (Hint- I included some photos of it;)) Although it’s not what they had planned, their intimate day was so filled with love and joy, right there at home. This wedding is such a reminder that there is great beauty and love to be found, even here, even now. We just need to make it. I’m so honored to have been able to capture this unexpected but so beautiful day for them.

Sun-Soaked Snuggles | Kassey & Travis' Engagement

This engagement session took me to the west side of the Big Island and as always, I was STOKED to be able to catch a sunset. Puako is one of my favorite areas on the west side to chill, swim and enjoy a sunset. Kassey & Travis laughed and snuggled on the beach as the sun dipped below the horizon and I was so honored to capture it all! These two are so fun to be around and their joy is absolutely evident in these photos, in my humble opinion :)

The PERFECT Day | Luis & Nina | Sheffield, England

It almost seems like a dream to me, that just six months ago I was marveling at the English countryside, drinking elderflower liquor, just hanging out with a bunch of amazing people.

Let me just start by saying how much of a DREAM and an honor it was to capture Luis & Nina’s wedding as both a guest and photographer. Luis is my beau Abner’s brother, so these two are basically family to me and I love em so much :’)

Their love story is truly one for the ages; Nina is originally from England, and Luis is from Puerto Rico but they met in THAILAND!!!! Their meeting was truly fate and I won’t get into the details because I just know you wanna see the photos ( ;) ) but just know that there is no doubt in my mind that these two gorgeous people (on the inside and the outside) are totally meant to be.

The wedding ceremony took place at a small chapel in the Sheffield countryside, and the reception at Nina’s family’s gorgeous home. This entire wedding was just such a culmination of love and joy, it was contagious! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Luis & Nina, for being who you are and for trusting me to capture this truly magical day.
